Blogging Extraordinaires (Does That Include Me?)

Hi!  Welcome to my blog and my roller coaster of a life.  I am so excited to be blogging again!  I wrote a blog over the summer while I went to school in Germany for three months, and I had a blast.  Now we get to write blogs for school, and I hope I can meet or exceed the expectations set by my first blog.

Before starting my blog, I needed some inspiration.  For this, I turned to some of my long-time favorite blogs as well as new ones.
One blog I've been reading for quite a while now is called Refashionista.  It's an awesome-sauce blog about taking old, yucky, or ill-fitting clothes and transforming them into something new and awesome.  Here are some before and after pictures from her blog:

Is that awesome, or is that awesome?  (I think it's awesome!)  Unfortunately, my sewing skills (and my creative capacity, for that matter) aren't up to her level, so I just read her blog with wishful thinking.

I love this blog because of all the creativity and personality in it.  Seeing what crazy ideas she comes up with to transform ghastly garments into attractive attire is so unbelievable because I could NEVER have thought of it myself.  Although my blog isn't about transforming clothes, I still hope to encapsulate some of her creativity into it.

The next blog is one I discovered last year.  The funny thing is, it's by a girl who was writing a blog for the same reason I am now: an English project!  Her blog was called the Li'l Bro Blog, and it was all about her family's (but especially her younger brother's) misadventures.  This is my favorite blog EVER.  It's really depressing that she no longer writes it, because it was hil-AR-ious.  Seriously, it was amazing.  In my opinion, nothing makes a funnier story than a family anecdote.  But not only were the funny stories making me laugh out loud, it was the personality behind them.  I can only hope that I'll be able to be as funny as Caitlin from the Li'l Bro Blog!

The last blog I want to share with you guys is called Abby Has Issues.  I know, the name is really relatable. ;) Because guess what?  I do too!  And so do you.  And that's why this blog is great.  The stories are relatable and humorous, which is what I want my blog to be like.

Those are the three blogs that will inspire throughout my exciting yet somewhat daunting blogging adventure.  I hope my blog can be a combination of these three fantastic blogs: creative, funny and relatable!

Speaking of my blog...  What is it?  Well, I don't really know.  Yet.  My life is a crazy roller coaster of school and homework, volleyball, my almost non-existent social life, and trying to keep up with the world and myself.  (Come on Julia, the bathroom needs to be cleaned more than once every three months!)  So I guess that's what my blog's about.  The stressful, unpredictable, crazy life of a teenager.

But what is life without its ups and downs?

Just sayin'. :)

  1. Bwahaha :) I found your blog by typing in the name and added it to my favorite blog list before you had posted anything :) I love all the colors for your background! I'm so happy you have to do this for English because I GET TO READ IT! :D And whatever you come up with for your blog to be about, I know it'll be great!
